In addition to a full program of Legend Car and Bandolero racing, the Summer Shootout Series includes special attractions, such as school bus racing and a huge Fireworks Extravaganza Night. Family fun is what you can expect at the Summer Shootout Series, which always features games for the kids and Lug Nut, the World's Fastest Mascot. Racing action takes place under the lights on the quarter-mile oval located on the frontstretch of Charlotte Motor Speedway. Gates open at 5:00pm for spectators to view practice and heat races.
