Home of the 2006 Stanley Cup Champion Carolina Hurricanes! The RBC Center, which opened in October 1999 and still sparkles like new, is home to the NHL's Carolina Hurricanes and the N.C. State men's basketball team. The 19,700-seat venue, located in west Raleigh, has hosted an impressive array of major events since its opening. That includes the 2002 & 2006 Stanley Cup Finals, the 2004 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament First and Second Rounds, and the 2004 NHL Entry Draft. The RBC Center also hosted the CIAA Basketball Tournament from 2000-2005, the MEAC Tournament from 2006-2008, as well as the 2002 NCAA Women's Basketball East Regional. The RBC Center is set to host the 2008 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament First and Second Rounds, and has already been named the 2009 NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament East Regional.
